Lighting the Way: Anchoring the Arts on the Shoreline
,
In our fifth season Legacy Theatre continues to fulfill its founding vision: to be a beacon for the arts on the Connecticut shoreline. Nestled in the heart of Branford, our intimate 130-seat venue offers something rare—a stunning, historic space where you can experience world-class, Broadway-caliber talent up close. There’s truly not a bad seat in the house.
Last year, audiences were treated to the unforgettable experience of Dame Julie Andrews directing on our stage. It’s just one example of how Legacy brings the extraordinary to our community—cultivating new works, launching professional productions, and nurturing a love for the arts in audiences of all ages.
We’re proud to collaborate with partners like Elm Shakespeare, the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, and GreenStage Guilford to expand access to high-quality theatre throughout the region.
Our education program continues to grow, reaching hundreds of students with innovative programming that inspires and educates. Most recently, our production of Peter and Wendy brought classic storytelling to life for young audiences, igniting imaginations and planting seeds for future artists and arts lovers alike.
We believe the arts are not a luxury—they're an anchor......Anchoring creativity, education, community connection, and the cultural identity of the shoreline.
During The Great Give, we are reminded that we’re part of something bigger—a generous, passionate community that rallies behind what matters.
Donors like you are the reason we can do what we do. Thank you for anchoring the arts with us.
